Covid-19 Corona Virus

Following the outbreak of Covid-19 and the impact it has had around the world, Greers have changed the way we work to help protect our colleagues and our clients. Everybody's safety is our number one concern!

What does this mean?

As you can understand there are some things we can not change as we will need to work in your home or office, some clients will need to come into us to access storage but we can work together to reduce the risks.

Arranging a quote

To date our existing and past customers have been amazed at the level of information we have been able to find out over the phone, from the internet or from some photos. For example, most houses will have brochures online which we can see and review together avoiding the need for a survey.

Alternatively you can use out online quotation form

If you prefer (or as required), we can carry out an onsite survey. Our surveyor will be able to visit you at your property and will follow our comprehensive risk assessment and check list which includes the use of PPE and social distancing. (see our policy below)

Contactless quote, contract, payment, and supplies

All of our paperwork including quotes, questionnaires and payments are either sent electronically, by post or over the phone so there is no need for you to visit our office. If you have purchased materials such as boxes, paper and tape as part of your move, these will be delivered to you directly and left in a pre-arranged place minimising personal contact.

The move

All our removal operatives have had comprehensive training and will follow our standards as set in the Risk Assessment for Managing Covid-19 conditions (see below). We will be using our own PPE and will bring our own supplies which includes our own refreshments.

We will need help from you to ensure we are able to carry out the move which we will discuss with you. Simple but key areas include

  • Only 1 client at the property during the move who is symptom free, wearing their own PPE and not self-isolating.
  • No other trade people booked to be on site for example cleaners, TV engineers as we sill not be able to work in the property safely at the same time.
  • Personal items already packed before we arrive especially toiletries, bedding from the bed, dirty laundry and any rubbish cleared out from the bins.
  • Where possible bathroom facilities solely for our operative to use.
  • You will be able to find more information in our Risk Assessment for Managing Covid-19 Conditions (see below)

    How things have changed
